Terms of Service
1. Service Description
Adventure Getter is a web application for planning trips around the time you actually have available. You create availability windows, build or generate adventure records with itineraries and cost estimates, and match them against the months of a planning year. Some features use artificial intelligence to research and draft adventure records on your behalf.
The Service is provided "as is" and may change, break, or be discontinued at any time. Adventure Getter is currently offered free of charge.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use Adventure Getter. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your password confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly at support@one-less.io if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
3. Assumption of Risk — Outdoor and Travel Activities
Read this section carefully. It describes risks you accept by acting on anything the Service suggests.
Adventure Getter suggests trips, itineraries, seasonality and cost estimates for outdoor and travel activities. These may include hiking, backpacking, climbing, paddling, skiing, motorcycling, driving in remote terrain, and travel in places without cell coverage, road access, or nearby medical care. Activities of this kind are inherently dangerous and can result in property damage, serious injury, or death.
You are solely responsible for:
- Judging whether an activity is appropriate for your skill, fitness, experience, and the experience of everyone in your party
- Checking current conditions, weather, avalanche and fire danger, water levels, closures, and access restrictions before you go
- Obtaining required permits, reservations, licenses, and insurance, and complying with all applicable laws and land-manager regulations
- Carrying appropriate equipment, navigation, communication, and emergency supplies
- Vetting any guide, outfitter, charter, rental, or lodging provider you engage
Adventure Getter does not inspect routes, verify conditions, confirm that a trail or road is open or passable, or vet third-party operators. Nothing in the Service is a substitute for professional guiding, local knowledge, official land-manager information, or current condition reports. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume all risk arising from any trip you plan, book, or undertake in connection with the Service.
4. Accuracy of Trip Information and AI-Generated Content
Adventure Getter uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude, with web search) to research and draft adventure records. AI-generated content may be incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or fabricated, even when it is presented with apparent confidence and citations.
This applies in particular to permit rules and lottery dates, entry and camping fees, airfare and lodging prices, drive times and distances, guide and charter rates, and the months in which a trip is feasible. Cost figures shown in the Service are estimates for planning purposes only. They are not quotes, and they are not a guarantee of price or availability.
Verify everything with the primary source before you book or travel — the managing agency (for example the National Park Service, Forest Service, BLM, or state park system), the permit authority, the airline, and the operator. Confidence indicators in generated content are the model's own self-assessment and are not verification.
The Service is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind, including legal, medical, financial, insurance, or travel-safety advice.
5. Service Availability and Force Majeure
Adventure Getter relies on third-party services including our hosting and database provider, Anthropic (AI processing and web search), and our email delivery provider. We are not liable for service interruptions, delays, data loss, or failures caused by: outages or changes to third-party provider services; network outages; natural disasters, pandemics, or other acts of force majeure; government actions or regulatory changes; or any other events beyond our reasonable control. We will make reasonable efforts to restore service promptly.
6. Geographic Availability
Adventure Getter is currently offered only within the United States. By using the Service, you represent that you are located in the United States. We may restrict access from other jurisdictions without notice.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other users' accounts, or any share link not given to you
- Circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, generation quotas, rate limits, or other technical restrictions
- Use automated means to scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract adventure records or generated content from the Service
- Submit content designed to manipulate the AI model into ignoring its instructions, revealing system prompts, or producing output unrelated to trip planning
- Publish or share content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that you do not have the right to distribute
- Use the Service to build or train a competing product, model, or dataset
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
8. Usage Limits
AI generation is subject to a per-account daily limit, currently ten generations per day. We may change, reduce, or remove this limit at any time, including to manage cost or abuse. We do not guarantee that any particular generation will succeed or complete within a given time.
9. Your Content and Sharing
You retain ownership of the content you create in the Service — adventures, itineraries, notes, availability windows, and plans. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, and display that content solely as necessary to operate and improve the Service, including transmitting the relevant portions to our AI provider to fulfill a generation you request.
Sharing is public. When you publish an adventure or create a share link, anyone who has the link can view that content without signing in, and may copy it into their own account. You grant those users a license to view and copy the shared content, and you grant us a license to display it for that purpose. Do not put anything private, sensitive, or belonging to someone else into content you publish or share.
You represent that you have the rights to any content you submit, and that it does not infringe the rights of others.
10. Intellectual Property
Adventure Getter, its name, logo, interface, and underlying software are our intellectual property. These Terms grant you no rights in them other than the right to use the Service as permitted here.
11. Account Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for breach of these Terms or at our discretion. You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account by contacting support@one-less.io. Upon termination your right to use the Service ceases, adventures you own are removed, and we may retain data as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Fees and Future Paid Plans
The Service is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans, we will disclose pricing and terms before any charge is made, and paid features will apply only to accounts that affirmatively subscribe. Paid plans, if offered, will be billed on a recurring basis as described at signup; you will be able to cancel at any time with cancellation effective at the end of the then-current billing period, and we may change pricing with reasonable notice. Nothing in these Terms obligates us to offer the Service free of charge indefinitely.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. This includes, without limitation, trip costs, non-refundable bookings, forfeited deposits, missed permits or lotteries, cancelled or altered travel, property damage, personal injury, or death arising from an activity you planned or undertook in connection with the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability or exclusions of warranty, so some of the above may not apply to you.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mason Stanton Bartlett (operating Adventure Getter) and his agents, representatives, and service providers from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms; (b) any trip, activity, or booking you plan or undertake in connection with the Service, including injury to you or to any member of your party; (c) any content you submit, publish, or share through the Service that infringes third-party rights or is otherwise unlawful; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
15. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Arbitration. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will take place in Wyoming, or by phone or video conference at your election.
Fees. Each party bears its own arbitration fees unless the arbitrator orders otherwise. If you are unable to afford the arbitration filing fee, we will consider a good-faith request to cover it.
Small claims. Either party may bring qualifying claims in small claims court instead of arbitration.
Class action waiver. You agree to resolve disputes individually. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to support@one-less.io within 30 days of first using the Service. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice where appropriate.
17. Contact and Business Information
